đŁ CIGARROA MIDDLE SCHOOL, ATTENTION! đŁ
The Laredo ISD Earth Day Challenge is officially here, and itâs our time to shine! đ This isnât just a district contest; itâs our opportunity to show everyone what true Bulldog Pride looks like in action. We are launching a student-led campaign to make Cigarroa the greenest campus in Laredo!
To help us get inspired, weâve put up custom Cigarroa Bulldog motivational posters all around school! đ¨ They are created by Bulldogs, for Bulldogs, because our collective spirit is what will drive real change. Spot one in the cafeteria, by the gym, or in the main office and let it remind you of what we can achieve together.
We aren't just here to follow; we are here to LEAD. We are starting with the basics: "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle." âťď¸ This initiative runs from March 2nd to April 15th, and we need EVERY single one of us to make an impact.
OUR FIRST COLLECTIVE MISSION: This weekend, let's all be mindful of our footprint. Before you throw anything away, ask: "Can we recycle this instead?" If you see a teammate, a teacher, or a friend making an eco-friendly choice, give them a shoutout! đŁď¸ Letâs start creating some genuine "social media buzz" for our school! đđž

A huge thank you to all the presenters who took the time out of their busy schedules to come and share their careers, experiences, and advice with our students. Your willingness to invest your time truly made an impact and helped inspire our students to start thinking about their future goals and possibilities.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our amazing principal, Dr. Lori Moreno, for her continued support in making opportunities like this possible for our students.
Lastly, thank you to our Guidance Department for all the planning and teamwork that helped make today run so smoothly.

Estimados padres y tutores:
Atentamente,
AdministraciĂłn Escolar de Cigarroa Middle

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Tomorrow and Wednesday, our students will be participating in the Texas English Language Proficiency Assessment System (TELPAS). This assessment is a vital tool that helps us measure our students' progress in learning English and ensures we are providing the best possible support for their academic growth.
To ensure your student has the best testing environment possible, please note the following requirements:
đ Attendance and Timing
Attendance is critical: Please ensure your child is at school on both testing days.
Arrive on time: Testing begins promptly in the morning. Late arrivals can disrupt the testing environment for others and may result in your student needing to attend a make-up session.
No early dismissals: Students cannot leave the testing room once they have started. Please do not schedule doctorâs appointments or early pick-ups for tomorrow or Wednesday.
đť Technology Preparation
Charge Chromebooks: Students must charge their devices fully tonight.
Bring Chargers: Please send the charging cable to school with the Chromebook.
đ Logistics and Supplies
No Backpacks: To maintain a secure testing environment, backpacks are not allowed in the building on these two days.
Leave Electronics at Home: All non-testing electronic devices (smartwatches, personal tablets, etc.) should remain at home.
đ Health and Wellness
Success starts with a fresh mind! Please help your student:
Get a full nightâs rest.
Eat a healthy breakfast before arriving or at school.
Thank you for your continued partnership in helping our students succeed. We are so proud of the hard work they have put in this year!
Best regards,
Cigarroa Middle School Administration
