Today, our GEAR UP students had the opportunity to attend the College & Career Access Summit at the Embassy Suites, where they participated in a Workforce Readiness Skills session focused on preparing them for future success. Students learned the importance of communication, teamwork, professionalism, and leadership skills that will help them both in college and in their future careers.
Experiences like these continue to inspire our students to think about their goals, build confidence, and prepare for life after high school. Led by their GEAR UP facilitator, Mrs. J. In honor of National Crime Victims' Rights Week, NJHS members Jesus Lagunez and Kaleb Veliz joined the Webb County Sheriff’s Department and the Area Health Education Center for a moving Candlelight Vigil and Balloon Release. 🕯️🎈
