Today the Texas Education Agency officially announced that Laredo ISD has earned two A’s. The annual ratings show that LISD earned an A in Academic Accountability with a district score of 90. Overall campus ratings for LISD’s 28 schools include 18 A’s and 10 B’s. No LISD campus earned a C or D. LISD also earned an A in finance through their Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating.

Cigarroa Middle School Sports Announcement

Attention all 7th and 8th graders planning to play sports this year!

Requirement: Every athlete must have a completed sports physical form signed by a doctor on file before August 10th.

Need a form? Blank physical forms are available now in our front office.

Already have your form? If your physical is already completed, please turn it in to the gym coaches as soon as possible, and no later than August 10th.

No completed physical form = no participation. Stop by the front office, get your forms signed, and turn them in so you're cleared to play on day one!

📣 Attention Incoming Cigarroa High School 9th Grade Parents! 📣

This is a friendly reminder to register your student for the 2026 TSI Summer Bridge Programs at both Sabas Perez Early College High School and Dr. Leo G. Cigarroa High School P-TECH/TSI CTE Program! You can register with Jenny Torres GEAR UP Facilitator-jtorres@laredoisd.org🎓☀️

These summer bridge programs are a great opportunity for students to prepare for high school, strengthen academic skills, and get a head start on their future success.

🗓️ Program Dates: June 1 – June 18, 2026

🕣 Time: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Monday–Thursday)

✅ Sabas Perez Early College HS students are highly encouraged to participate in the TSIA Bridge Program.

✅ Cigarroa High School incoming 9th graders and P-TECH students are also encouraged to register for the TSI/CTE Summer Bridge Program.
