LISD Kazen Fellowship students participated in activities with the Laredo Sector Border Patrol. The students had an opportunity to hear presentations, see exhibits and take tours with Border Patrol Marine, HPU, SUAS, ATVs and Bike Patrol Units.
Congratulation to LISD Student of the Month for May Cynthia Molina from Cigarroa Middle School.Molina is an eighth-grade honors and gifted and talented student at Cigarroa Middle School.
Cynthia is Captain of the school’s Robotics Team, and a member of Junior FFA, Algebra Program, National Junior Honor Society. She enjoys coming to school because she likes to learn new things in her algebra classes.
Medina’s goal is to attend Texas A&M University to major in Business. Once she completes her studies, Cynthia plans to own her own business.
Medina enjoys spending time tending to her horses, goats, and many other animals at her family’s ranch. As a member of the National Honor Society, Cynthia volunteers at the Pet Shelter and the South Texas Food Bank.
She attended Zachry Elementary School and plans to go to Nixon High School and the BIPS Early College Academy. Cynthia is the daughter of Irving and Nancy Lozano.

Congratulations to LISD Student of the Month for April Alezzandra Lozano. Lozano is a sixth-grade honors and GT student at Cigarroa Middle School.
Alezzandra is a member of the school’s Robotics Team and Ready Writing UIL. She enjoys coming to school because she is able to practice Robotics so she can continue to prepare for next year competitions. Her favorite part of the day is her robotics class because she is interest in building the robots and coding them.
Alezzandra’s goal is attend Harvard University to obtain a degree in Biology or the medical field. Once she completes her studies, she plans to move to New York City to go into the medical field or become a Biomedical Engineer.
Alezzandra enjoys playing volleyball in her free time. She also enjoys journal writing for her thoughts.
She attended Ligarde Elementary School and plans to go to Cigarroa High School. Alezzandra is the daughter of Irving and Nancy Lozano.

LISD High School and Middle School Fine Arts students were recognized and honored with Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Medals for their outstanding achievement in Attendance, Citizenship, and Excellence during the district’s ACE Awards Ceremony at the LISD PAC.
